Launch of Hyundai i20 car in New Delhi on Monday
With the hope to turn around delay in its sales, Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL)., released its premium hatchback i20 on Monday. The dense car has 3 variants and is extended at a preliminary price of Rs.4.80 lakh-Rs.5.82 lakh. The company is also scheduling to raise the prices of its products in January due to higher input expenses.
The five-door i20 is connected with new generation 1.2 liter Kappa petrol engine, which gives maximum power of 80PS. It is Euro V set and meets all the existent emission norms.
HMIL anticipates to sell 1.2 lakh units of i20 in the markets abroad during the next year. Its domestic market target is 20,000 units. The new car is being solely manufactured at its Chennai factory and will be exported worldwide. HMIL has already commenced exports of i20 to Europe from November
