Lexus RX 450h Preview at Geneva Motor show
Lexus has declared the important facts and figures for its new-generation RX 450h. It’ll generate 44.8mpg, and release just 148g/km of carbon dioxide. Its top speed is 124mph and 0-62 mph acceleration up in 7.8 seconds.
The car was first released during last November’s Los Angeles Auto Show. It will be on sale in the UK this summer. The RX 450h will have a larger, more powerful engine – a 3.5-litre V6 replaces the current 3.3, giving a total power output of 295bhp, up from the RX 400h’s 269bhp.

The power train has a more competent power electrical converter, a new exhaust-heat revival system to decrease warm-up time, and a chilled exhaust-gas circulation system, all of which support economy.
The petrol-only RX 350 will stay on sale in North America and other markets, but not in the UK. Both RX 450h and 350 receive restyled rear suspension – which permits for better boot-space – and retooled front suspension, attractive ride comfort.
