Motor Show Los Angeles: Ford Mustang
Ford is displaying its revised Mustang at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week. It’s ‘leaner and meaner’, says Ford, with re-tuned suspension, a horsepower promote and some small titling fine-tunes.
Power from the 4.6-litre V8 has been increased to 315bhp, and the fumes altered for ‘an even throatier’ sound. The V6 stays same.
Constancy control is now normal as well as traction control, the springs, anti-roll bars and shock absorbers have all been retooled, and all models now have bigger wheels and tyres, from 17-19″ reckoning on version.
Detail alterations are a new grille with incorporated headlamps and blinkers, inspired by those of the 1970 Mustang, and on the GT, minor fog lamps mounted in the upper grille – a nod to the ’67-’68 models.
