Porsche has revealed its next-generation 911 Turbo, whole with a new 3.8-litre straight insertion petrol engine giving 493bhp.

The 911 Turbo is to make its public first appearance at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month. The German sports car maker states that the new car will give altered functioning, lesser weight, improved driving dynamics and better fuel competence.
It is the 7th generation of Porsche’s flagship model. It will have the first complete new engine in the 35-year history of the 911 Turbo. The new 6-cylinder 3.8 substitutes the old 3.6 unit. It will also have a twin turbochargers with changeable turbine geometry.

The next generation Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe and Cabriolet will be on sale in the UK on November 21 2009. Standard equipment is the touch-screen Porsche Communication Management system together with Bluetooth mobile telephone and i-Pod connectivity. It will be priced from £101,823 for the Coupe and £109,048 for the Cabriolet.

Porsche discloses 911 GT3 RSR

Porsche has declared its 2009-spec 911 GT3 RSR racer is all geared up to vie in events such as the Nurburgring 24 Hours and the American Le Mans Series races.

The engine of GT3 RSR will be enlarged to 4.0 liters to meet the criteria. It now delivers around 450bhp and 317lb-ft, with its revolutions per minute limit up at 9000rpm. The 2009 GT2-class policy has assigned a step-down in the size of air restrictors.

The nose has been restyled, with big air outlets, to cope with a retro radiator/ventilation system and air conditioning is elective.

Underbody dynamics have been amended: the back wing can now be aligned to a larger degree, and both the wiring system and the brakes are lighter. Lotus Esprit is been postponed until 2011

The substitute for the Lotus Esprit is been postponed until 2011. This is due to the reason that the British sports car company is planning to produce six different variants of its new Evora model.

The Evora line-up will be made up of a convertible and even an automatic version. The convertible is supposed to be launched late in 2011. The model is drop-top and it is hopped that it will help Lotus to accomplish its sales object of 2000 Evoras per year.
Lotus has an 8 year lifespan which is being planned for the Evora. A report also says that a more prevailing version of the obviously-aspirated Evora will be developed around 320bhp and not like the standard car’s 280bhp and this will be launched within two years.

A hard-core S version is also in the pipeline and this is 400bhp which is available. It is expected that it will be a rival to Porsche 911 in its Turbo-rivalling levels of performance.

Porsche recently released its Targa version that is the 911. The technical advances are same as the rest of the 911’s. The vehicle includes direct injection engines. It also has a double clutch gearbox. The 3.6 liter flat 6 engine gives a maximum out put of 345bhp. The speed of the car is around 176mph.
Also a Targa 4S which has a 3.8 liter engine which gives a maximum output of 385bhp. The speed of this particular brand is 184mph.
