Mercedes-Benz CLS fantastic version set in motion

Mercedes-Benz is bringing in a new unique version in its CLS range, suitably coroneted as Grand Edition. This new version will be available in the UK in July and it is said that only 500 CLS Grand Editions will be ready for delivery.

The car will be obtainable in a range of 5 colors with Palladium Silver as a special color   for the first time on a CLS.

A 18″ AMG five-spoke alloy wheels with a titanium grey finish, front grille louvers, headlight fitted in a silver matt finish and floor mats with Grand Edition marking will also be added to the CLS.

Power in CLS 350 CDI V6 has been altered by 48bhp which makes the entire power to 272bhp. Torsion is raised by 36lb-ft which has decreased the 0-62 mph time to 6.5 seconds.

The CLS Grand Edition will have a starting price from £48,445 – £2,495 with extra equipments worth £4636.

A 10% stake was purchased by Daimler in Tesla. This was to support and back up Smart and Tesla to produce and sell more electric cars in the open market.

Plans to set in motion an electric car by Mercedes-Benz is also in the offing. It has plans to base its electric car on the present A-Class next year.

The new model of Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG unveiled

This is the first official picture of the awesome AMG 6.3-litre V8-engine E-Class saloon. The vehicle is to go on sale in the UK in August.

The E63 AMG employs a 6.2-litre V8 engine that builds up a spectacular 525bhp and a highest torque of 464lb-ft. It speeds up from 0-62 mph in 4.5 seconds, with an apex speed of 155 mph which is electronically limited.

Offers are (i) 180 CDI Classic SE 5 door with metallic paint which is now obtainable for £199pm at 5.9% APR, while (ii) 180 CDI Sport with metallic paint can be purchased from £239pm at typical 5.9% APR.

There are also offers for the CLS four-door coupe, M-Class and S-Class: the CLS 320 CDI starts from £499pm; ML model deals include the ML 280 CDI Sport from £399pm and the ML 320 CDI Sport from £419pm; and there are even special offers on the top-of-range S-Class, with the S 320 CDI available from £649pm.

The E-Guard’s suspension and brakes are uprated to manage the increased weight. It has run-flat tyres with all tyres deflated, can go with 80kph upto 50km.

The BlueZero E-Cell is an electrically-driven five-door compact hatch – which has shades of the next-generation A- and B-Class, with lithium-ion batteries. It will have a 62-mile range on a two-hour recharge.

There is also a BlueZero F-Cell fuel cell vehicle and the BlueZero E-Cell Plus which is a range-extended EV.
The E-Cell Plus has the Smart Fortwo’s 3-cylinder engine that acts as a creator and recharges the batteries. This is good for 373 miles between recharges.

‘Green’ Mercedes C-Class on sale from January

Mercedes-Benz will introduce a ‘green’ version of its C-Class that will decrease fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions in the UK market.

The C 180 Compressor Blue Efficiency replaces the existing model and Mercedes says this will reduce costs for motorists with no increase on the purchased price.

SEMA Preview: Mercedes-Benz GLK 350

Boulevard Customs has severed off the roof of its GLK, equipped a wide-body kit and 26″ wheels, made over the interior and matched a bespoke sound system. The outcome, called Urban Whip, is rather significant of the customized Suzuki Vitaras accepted in the UK in the 1980s.

Mercedes Benz on CNG (compressed natural gas)

This model will not allow you to loosen your purse strings as it runs on compressed natural gas (CNG) which is the cheapest auto fuel in the world. The three-star iconic luxury brand, Mercedes-Benz, just drove in with a CNG-complaint engine, making it more fuel efficient than the India’s cheapest car Maruti 800, which runs only on petrol.

New CNG alternative fuel of Mercedes-Benz runs over 20 km on a kg of CNG against its petrol sibling which drinks a liter for every 12 km. What is more, CNG comes at less than half the price that is Rs19 as against Rs 45.52 for petrol in Delhi. And CNG is much more cleaner than petrol.

As energy crisis grasps the world and guesses climb about a sizable fuel price hike, CNG has occupied the focus in Mercedes India plans. The German company has already brought in a couple of CNG-compatible cars to Delhi and Mumbai, permitting even the rich to have cheaper fuel options. According to sources of the automobile industry Mercedes-Benz plans to bring its global success CNG sedans to India.
