Renault declares Mumbai as Design center for It’s Ultra Low Cost Car
Many car producers are ready to roll-out low cost cars in the country. Renault that is famous for its Logan sedan has chosen India to offer a larger role in scheming and developing its ultra low-cost car.

However, this is an obvious departure from Renault’s preceding plans when such coursework were constantly spread across the company’s other centre’s worldwide. So far when ever Renault worked on developing any new product, all the design centres across the world would involve and Paris would take a final call.

This is the first time that Renault is developing an ultra low-cost car in the country. It has been planned that Mumbai’s design centre will give the main design framework, with other design centres’ across the world providing smaller inputs for the ULC.
