Porsche tuner Gemballa has fixed more  special features which are of course not necessary but are included so that the Carrera GT appears more attractive and functional.

These features are added to its already existing contemptible Carrera GT super car to produce a new Mirage GT Gold Edition.

The Mirage boasts of quite a lot of carbon fiber accessories and Gemballa has increased the already extensive power from the 5.7-litre V10 to give out 670bhp.

In the fall of Fiat and Chrysler’s union subsequent to Chrysler’s bankruptcy, the future of the Viper became a back-burner issue. In spite of this Mike Accavitti who is the Dodge President and CEO today, declared that the Vipers’ production will carry on under the company’s new leadership.

He added that “The Viper lives. The new leadership team the Chrysler Group gets it.”

Now the Chrysler Group comes under the leadership of Fiat and Sergio Marchionne’s and due to this the Viper will persist forward. It will serve its niche of quality performance fanciers. (more…)

Techart the Tuning Company has been given a free hand to revamp the Porsche Cayenne Diesel. The coupe has been given 4 x 4 more power and a rhetorical overhaul.

Power for the 3.0-liter diesel climbs up from 240bhp to 290bhp. The quantity of torsion developed by the V6 diesel puffs up from 406lb-ft to 465lb-ft from a modest 2,200rpm.

Operation gets a strong rise with the Cayenne’s 0-60mph time breaking down from the present car’s 8.3 seconds to 7.7s. Fuel burning up and discharges stay unaltered at 30.4mpg and 244g/km of CO2.

The fresh 4 door from Porsche would dislocate the Cadillac CTS-V as the tussle between
Porsche’s intense rivalry with Nissan over Nurburgring lap times have cooled.

A new rivalry emerges with Cadillac this time and the CTS-V. A statement up-and-coming from Germany today says that the Panamera Turbo overlapping the

Nurburgring in 7:56 minutes which is only above 3 seconds quicker than the American umber-sedan. Alternatively, lap times at the Nurburgring are no doubt a good measure of real-world performance, but it cannot be considered as the end-all-be-all. (more…)

A Swiss company has brought out a new Tesla matching roadster known as the Spyder.

Spyder is the result of a thesis which started at a university project done by the engineering school of Buchs NTB students in Switzerland.
Later on Brusa got occupied with the car’s production and has given it the majority of its design like that of Porsche.

But this car is not as fast as the Tesla. Brusa, states that the Spyder 62mph will accomplish the 0-60mph spring in less than 6 seconds and then move on to a top speed of above 125mph.
Two electric motors provide the power which the car requires. This makes driving through the rear wheels and a total power output of around 270hp is provided by the motors. The car can travel around 80 miles at a mean speed of 50mph before it has to be recharged.

Porsche and Volkswagen are taking into account renewing the Auto Union brand, made know by the Silver Arrows splendid prix cars of the 1930s.

Dr Ferdinand Piech who is the chairman of the Volkswagen Group stated that the Auto Union name may be the name for the company to be formed when the two brands merge.

On the other hand, the same name as Auto Union seems to be some what like a bit of a banana peel since it is associated with Nazi Germany. Even though it was produced even before Hitler became powerful Auto Union was actually the out come of the merger of three car firms in the year 1932.

This firm was liable for grand prix racers which were known as the Silver Arrows. This was used as information by Hitler to make obvious the engineering supremacy of the Third Reich.

This first-generation car was the outcome of a partnership with the Italian designer Giorgio Giugiaro’s Italdesign and also Karmann for industrial enterprise and Porsche for the gearing technology.

The vehicle had initially offered an option of petrol engines which ranged from 42bhp to 98bhp and a 53bhp diesel and after 7 years of sales the model was remade and it included changes to both the front end and interior trim.

The 2nd generation Ibiza was revealed at the 1993 Barcelona Motor Show and the 3rd generation car was modeled by Walter de Silver which was unveiled in 2001.

The merger talks between Volkswagen and Porsche has been suspended. Volkswagen announced the suspension of the merger talks with fellow German manufacturer Porsche.

This step was taken because Volkswagen was worried of the sports car maker’s mountainous debts.

The two car producers had declared their purpose to amalgamate earlier this month under, perhaps, the well known Auto Union brand name.
Porsche at present possesses in excess of 50% of VW and projects to step-up this interest to 75% in time to come.

In its mission to possess more and more of VW, Porsche in recent times took a loan of £8bn from Volkswagen. This has now turned out  to be the subject of great concern for VW.

Volkswagen has asked Porsche to decrease this debt if the merger has to take place. If not, the German state which still possess 20% of the VW could obstruct the merger.

Porsche is expanding its Cayenne range with a new special edition model called the GTS Porsche Design Edition 3.

Only 1000 of the Design Edition 3 models are being produced and they will be available for ordering from May.
